it is poignant that a mere few weeks after the terrorist attack targeting the Heaton Park Synagogue, they hosted a Mitzvah Day event collecting supplies for families outside of the Jewish community who are vulnerable and in need.

Mitzvah Day deserves a huge amount of credit for facilitating a special day each year where we can demonstrate this commitment to reach out and offer a hand in friendship.
