Last night, we were pleased to attend Moderation, Moral Courage and Allyship, organised by The Fed and UJIA.
The panel featured Rawan Osman, Rabbi Dovid Lewis, Imam Nasser Kurdy and Mark Adlestone OBE, Chair of the JRC. The discussion was chaired by JRC Management Board Member, Raphi Bloom.
Since 7 October 2023, much of what is described as ‘interfaith engagement’ has felt performative. Real dialogue demands honesty, moral courage and the willingness to tackle difficult issues.
This was a powerful reminder that authentic dialogue is not about avoiding disagreement. It is about avoiding disagreement. It is about facing disagreements with respect, honesty and moral courage.
Thank you to the organiser and panellists for an evening that showed what genuine engagement can achieve.
