Prime Minister  Burnham has enjoyed a longstanding and valued relationship with the Jewish community in Greater Manchester. Throughout his public life, he has taken the time to engage meaningfully with our community, listen to our concerns and celebrate the contribution that Jewish people make to the life of our city.

Our organisation has worked closely with him including after the deadly terrorist attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue and we look forward to continuing that constructive and positive relationship as he takes on the role of Prime Minister.

We would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to Sir Keir Starmer for his leadership and for the support he has shown the Jewish community during his time as Prime Minister.”
