A ‘Food brings communities together’ event was held at the ‘Cathedral on the Street’ in Manchester on Tuesday 21st January 2014, by The Challenging Hate Forum’ which is chaired by the Dean of Manchester Cathedral, the Very Reverend Rogers Govender.
The Jewish Representative Council’s table had an array of cakes and breads representing the Sabbath and various festivals, sponsored by Brackman’s Bakery.
Tables representing food from Nigeria, The Caribbean, Poland and Ghana also participated. Manchester City Council, the GMP, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, CPS, Mosscare Housing Group, Carisma, and Breakthrough UK supported the event and each had a presence at the event.
