This is the second year we joined the #atimetosaythankyou initiative and partnered with Rabbi Albie Chait MBE and UHC Leeds.
Alongside communities across the UK and in Melbourne, we visited hospitals, hospices, care homes, police and fire stations to say thank you to those emergency services as personnel who are working on Christmas Day. As a result, these individuals have sacrificed spending precious time with their families to care for others.
Across North and South Manchester, we visited dozens of locations including Wythenshawe Hospital, Christie Hospital, North Manchester General Hospital, The Fed, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, Manchester Children’s Hospital, Fairfield Hospital and Salford Royal Hospital.
As a community, we recognise this selflessness and we were therefore thrilled that volunteers visited with beautiful, custom-made gifts handed over on behalf of the Jewish community.
Thank you to the hundreds of people who gave up their time to spread happiness and cheer. The gifts were hugely appreciated by all those who received them.
