On Thursday, 11 September we formally wrote to Manchester Academy requesting the cancellation of Bob Vylan’s scheduled performance.

This request is now even more urgent following further disgraceful comments made by a member of the bank in Amsterdam over the weekend.

As a prominent cultural institution, Manchester Academy has both the responsibility and the opportunity to demonstrate that such comments have no place on its stage.

We urge Manchester Academy to immediately cancel this event.
