The JRC and wider community regularly refernce how blessed we are to house incredible organisations.
It was therefore a pleasure to join the Chief Rabbi for his visits to Aim Habonim and The Fed, whilst also attending The Friendship Circle Manchester Speaking Out Forum.
Our first visit was to Aim Habonim. They are a school for children with special educational needs. It was extremely special to see the Chief Rabbi engage with the staff, children and Governors whilst also hearing about their ambitious future plans for redevelopment.
The next stop was to witness the Speaking Out Forum run by The Friendship Circle. Esty Bruch and her team enrich the lives of those in the community with autism and learning disabilities. The event allows their members to prepare and deliver speeches about their lives and hobbies.
Finally, it was a privilege to be at Heathlands Village to celebrate the work of the Fed’s volunteering team. Their reach and impact was celebrated by the Chief Rabbi who commended the organisation for their work caring for people and families across the community. It was also wonderful to hear world renowned poet, Tony Walsh, read his specially commissioned poem ‘Not Alone’ live for the first time.
