Chief Rabbi, Sir Ephriam Mirvis KBE Visits Greater Manchester

It was a huge privilege to join CST and facilitate a visit for the Chief Rabbi to speak with the Jewish community and external stakeholders across Greater Manchester.

The Chief Rabbi started by speaking with staff and volunteers at CST to thank them for their commitment in keeping the community safe whilst protecting our way of life.

He then visited the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, Stephen Watson and Metro Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.  The chief Rabi thanked them for their support to our community and referenced how the Middle East conflict is affecting the Jewish community in Greater Manchester and across the UK.

There was an excellent discussion with Jewish students followed by a roundtable with the JRC Management Board, Israel activists and the Chairs and Rabbonim from the South Manchester Synagogues.

Finally, the Chief Rabbi addressed around 300 people at Hale Synagogue with a focus on thanking our friends in government.  The primary message revolved around how Jewish communities around the world are more united and determined than ever.
