The Greater Manchester Jewish Community Awards 2025 will be presented at a special ceremony on the evening of Thursday 29 May 2025 at a venue in North Manchester (to be confirmed).
The closing date for nominations is 3 April 2025
Nomination Criteria:
Who can be nominated? Any individual, team or organisation who/which meets the criteria in one of the categories above.
Who can nominate? Any member of the community.
However, no more than THREE nominations in each category can be accepted from one person or organisation.
What are the judging panel looking for?
Nominees with the following key attributes, which will be considered when choosing the winners:
They are valued by beneficiaries.
They exceed expectations of their role.
They demonstrate clear achievements and outstanding performance.
They demonstrate a clear commitment to the Jewish community in their daily work.
They are an inspiration to others.
AWARDS CATEGORIES:
- Volunteer of the Year Award
An outstanding volunteer who is an inspiration to colleagues and valued by beneficiaries. Someone who goes beyond expectations of what an unpaid person would be expected to deliver, is reliable and can demonstrate clear achievements.
- Volunteer Team of the Year Award
A team who regularly go above and beyond to proactively advocate for the Jewish community, either in Manchester or further afield, further Jewish education and Jewish cultural awareness or care for Jewish individuals or groups who are in need.
- Communal Employee of the Year Award
An outstanding employee who is an inspiration to colleagues. Someone who goes beyond the terms of their job description in the delivery of services to beneficiaries. The nominee should be able to demonstrate clear achievements and deliver tangible results for their organisation and the wider community.
- Lifetime Award
An outstanding employee or volunteer who has dedicated their life to communal service.
- Friend of the Community Award
A friend to the Community who has helped or supported the community in an exceptional manner.
- Rising Star Award
An outstanding individual aged under 25 who is an inspiration to colleagues and valued by beneficiaries. They go beyond expectations of what someone of that age would be expected to deliver and can demonstrate clear achievements.
- Sporting Achievement Award
An individual who has delivered exceptional performances either in the sports arena or in a coaching capacity.
- Professional Team of the Year Award
The Jewish community of Greater Manchester is blessed with amazing organisations. This award recognises a professional team within an organisation who have excelled in their work and provided an exceptional service to their stakeholders.
- Special Recognition Award
Made to an individual who deserves special mention and open to nomination from the public.
