EcoSynagogue, a partnership project with the Board of Deputies is hosting a pre COP26 event for the UK Jewish Community on Sunday 10 October 2021 at The Jewish Museum, London. The event will also be livestreamed at EcoSynagogue Facebook and YouTube
Entitled “Carbon Zero, If not now, when?” the EcoSynagogue Rabbinic team will be exploring, with the help of the Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, and the President of the Board of Deputies, Marie van der Zyl, why our community should be engaging with the issue of Climate Emergency, followed by an expert panel to explain the issues around carbon and how it can and should be reduced with Dr Michal Nachmany, a respected authority on global climate legislation, policy and the low carbon transition, Jonathan Waxman, an expert on renewable energy and sustaining a liveable planet through wind energy and (tbc) Charles Ogilvie, Director of Strategy, COP26 at Cabinet Office. EcoSynagogue hopes to be spotlighting environmental initiatives currently operational within the Jewish community both in the UK and abroad.
Numbers are limited for this in-person event, so please reply to Andrea, [email protected], EcoSynagogue Project Manager as soon as possible.
