Earlier this year Jewish Small Communities Network commissioned a new short film about two Jewish small communities in the UK.

THE INNOCENTS – features the modern day communities of Norwich and Lincoln and their medieval legacy. A legacy that affects us directly today.

You can watch it as part of the UK Jewish Film Festival, which will be touring to venues across the country and online.

Synopisis

The Blood Libel is one of the oldest and most enduring forms of hatred and violence against Jews. The myth of Jewish ritual murder of children has persisted for centuries and spread across the world, but its origins lie in English cities. The Innocents tells the story of two small Jewish communities in Norwich and Lincoln, living in the long shadow of this bloody history, and how they have pushed their cities to face the truth about their dark past and its impact over the centuries.

Shown at a Central Manchester location.
