Embassy is a Manchester based charity which takes homeless men and women across all faiths from the street or shelters and ends their homelessness on day one by housing them. The residents then receive six-and-a-half hours per week of one-to-one training in budgeting, cooking and work readiness. A hand up not a hand out.

When ready, Embassy partners with 21 local companies to employ the residents in full time work and helps them to save up rent and deposit in order to move on to private rental homes. Thereafter the team still visit and support ex-residents. The model is unique in the city, and about to grow significantly with the construction of a 41 home village for men and separate housing for women.
