The Jewish Representative Council of Greater Manchester & Region and the Jewish Leadership Council hosted Hustings ahead of the Greater Manchester Metro Mayoral Election on 2 May.
We were joined by:
Jake Austin – Liberal Democrat
Dan Barker – Reform
Andy Burnham – Labour
Laura Evans – Conservative
Candidates delivered opening and closing speeches detailing their policy commitments and pledges if elected as Metro Mayor.
There was also a lively debate that focused on social care, record levels of antisemitism, community cohesion and housing.
Candidates also committed to reviewing the policy asks detailed in the joint JRC and JLC manifesto.
We look forward to maintaining our close working relationship with the GMCA after the election.
