Nomination Categories
Volunteer of the Year: An outstanding volunteer who is an inspiration to colleagues and valued by beneficiaries. Someone who goes beyond expectations of what an unpaid person would be expected to deliver, are reliable and can demonstrate clear achievements.
Communal Employee of the Year: An outstanding employee who is an inspiration to colleagues.
Someone who goes beyond the terms of their job-description in the delivery of services to beneficiaries.
The nominee should be able to demonstrate clear achievements and should have an excellent record of attendance.
Life Time Award: An outstanding employee or volunteer who has dedicated more than forty years to Communal Service and is still actively involved.
Friend of the Community: A friend of the Community who is not Jewish but who has helped or supported the Community in an exceptional manner.
Young Volunteer of the Year: An outstanding volunteer aged between 16-25 who is an inspiration to colleagues and valued by beneficiaries. They go beyond expectations of what an unpaid person would be expected to deliver and can demonstrate clear achievements.
Building Bridges Award: An award to an organisation which is building bridges with the wider Community
Nomination Criteria
Who can be nominated?
Any person who meets any one of the categories above
Who can nominate?
Any member of the Community.
However, no more than 3 nominations in each category can be accepted.
The Judging Process
Stage 1
The judging panel will review the nominations in each category
Stage 2
A final short list of three nominees will be drawn up for each category
The Jewish Community Awards will be presented at a special ceremony to be held at
the Longfield Suite, Prestwich at 7.30pm on Tuesday, March 11th 2014.
