The JRC SEND & Disability Services Roundtable met yesterday, led by Esty Bruck and rabbi Danny Bergson, JRC Stakeholder & Engagement Manager.
Stakeholders highlighted a range of unmet needs within the community, alongside opportunities to improve support and services for children and families.
One of the key issues raised was the growing number of children who do not qualify for an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) despite experiencing significant learning, behavioural or mental health challenges that impact their ability to succeed in school.
This gap in support can have profound consequences for children’s educational outcomes, future opportunities and family wellbeing. Addressing these challenges must remain a priority to ensure every child received the support they need to thrive.
