Lancashire County Council Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration

We extend our sincere thanks to the Leader, Stephen Atkinson and the entire team at Lancashire County Council for hosting such a meaningful and dignified event.

JRC Board Member and The Fed My Voice Director, Raphi Bloom presented Ike Alterman’s My Voice Life Story, alongside JRC colleague Rabbi Danny Bergson, who performed the memorial prayer and Ani Maamin and Chief Executive, Marc Levy.

It was a huge privilege to hear Robert Brock, a 101 year-old Second World War veteran, who was present in the immediate aftermath of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen. His testimony was deeply moving and unforgettable.

The event also included a flag raising of the Holocaust Memorial Day flag, alongside the Mayor, Lord-Lieutenant and High Sheriff, marking the inaugural ceremony.

We look forward to continuing our close relationship with the Council as we work to combat antisemitism across the region.
