Lancashire Cunty Council hosted the fourth night candle lighting led by Rabbi Danny Bergson with over 120 people in attendance.

Rabby Danny discussed the history of Chanukah and the Jewish fight against Hellenism which was an early form of universalism, drawing uncanny parallels to the two forms of universalism that threaten western societies today.

The light of Chanukah represents the dignity of difference and the sacredness of the human soul which we must protect. We can only do this by building civilisation together based on the value that each of us created in the image of God.
