Media Round of Interviews on the First Anniversary of the Heaton Park Terrorist Attack

On the first anniversary of the terrorist attack that claimed the lives of Melvin Kravitz and Adrian Daulby, JRC Chief Executive has undertaken an extensive media round with local and national broadcaster, including the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, LBC, Times Radio, Jeremy Vine and GB News.

Speaking about the devastating events of 2 October 2025, Marc has reflected on the deep sense of unease and anxiety being felt across the Jewish community one year on, whilst also highlighting the extraordinary strength, resilience and determination of our community.

The anniverary is, first and foremost, about remembering Melvin and Adrian who were two British Jews who went to synagogue on Yom Kippur and never came home. Their families, friends and community continue to carry their loss. Marc has also spoken about the wider environment of antisemitism in which the attack took place, and the need to look beyond security measures alone. The JRC will continue calling out all those from across society who wish to cause harm to our community.

That means asking difficult questions about how hatred and extremism develop, how antisemitism is being normalised, what young people are being exposed to online, and why anyone should ever believe that a Jewish person simply going about their daily life is a legitimate target.

The Jewish community will continue to live openly and proudly as part of British society. We will continue to go to synagogue, educate our children, celebrate our festivals and build our communities.

We will remember Melvin and Adrian and we will not allow terrorism or antisemitism to determine how Jewish people live their lives.
