Statement on Open Letter to Manchester City Council

“Following sight of an open letter directed to Manchester City Council we have spoken directly with the leadership about the issues raised.

In recent months we have commended the Council Leadership for their solidarity to our community and their explanation on this atter has left us further reassured.

When reviewing the motion from July 2025, it was heavily redacted to remove a definition on Anti Palestinian Racism that we agree is deeply problematic. The approved motion clearly does not accept this definition.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the Council Leader and Chief Executive not just for their steadfast support but their work announced this week funding a new and innovative Holocaust education resource for schools across the city in partnership with The Fed’s My Voice Project.”
