We share with the community the profound sense of sadness and shock that was felt and circulated very quickly yesterday at the news of the loss of Sherrie Mayer, a teacher who has worked at King David Schools for 40 years, a leading light in the education of our young people.

She was a wonderful, inspirational teacher who took the time to coax and encourage all her pupils to achieve their goals. The drama productions she wrote and directed every year are very much part of the history of King David and live on in the memories of thousands of pupils and their families.
